Can I remove my asbestos garage roof myself?

You can remove an asbestos roof yourself but it is not recommended. Asbestos is an extremely dangerous material and can cause fatal illnesses such as lung cancer, mesothelioma and asbestosis if even the smallest of fibres in the cement are breathed in. There are also very strict rules governing the removal and disposal of asbestos, so it makes sense to use a professional who knows what they are doing.
